So I am sitting here on my front porch, looking out at the sky that hangs over the Atlantic Ocean, enjoying my day off on this gorgeous January afternoon… when it hits me, “Oh man, it’s Thursday! I should be writing a Medium post.” xD
I hope you are as excited as I am! There is a contest announcement towards the end so stick around! It has been a busy week and I have a lot to share so let’s jump right in. Shall we?
First up is our newest coin listing. This week we launched a Proof Of Stake pool for Bitkontacts! We already have over 17k coins in the pool and the rewards are starting to come in nicely. We are the FIRST and ONLY staking pool available for BKS!
Next up is Security. In an effort to better protect your crypto, and in light of the recent 773 million e-mails that were compromised, we have increased the security around login’s, strengthening our platform against Brute Force Attacks. If someone tries too many times to access your account using the wrong password, the account will be locked and will required a password reset. Also, if someone unsuccessfully tries to login to an account too many times in a row, there is a possibility that IP address could be banned from any additional login attempts for 10 minutes.
Please keep your passwords secret, keep them safe!
Now let’s check on the technical issues we were working on last week. Tech and Shark have just about finished up with all the small tweaks and changes in the Admin Panel, as well as touching up some of the Masternode Monitoring Overview page. They also made a lot of tweaks and changes to our custom Masternode Deployment Scripts. We also upgraded another 4 more servers to handle more load. With all of those out of the way we are on track to having 99% uptime across all of our pools! So congratulations to them on all they have done thus far!
These guys have been doing a lot of optimizing and making some code changes, so please bear with us. We are working on an advanced system to verify if a wallets blockchain height versus current explorer height and blockhash, to ensure optimal uptime and emergency wallet reboots in case of a wallet falling behind. You will notice some nodes offline or missing while they work, but trust that we know about them and we are working diligently on them!

#Coin-Requests, since our voting page is down, we have opened this channel to allow you all to suggest coins for us to add to the platform. Please follow the template provided! The template can be found in the pinned messages.
#Listing-Procedure, in this channel we will lay out the requirements for listing a coin on our platform. This way, developers looking to get their coin listed on Evo, can easily find the info the need to get them started on the path to being listed on the greatest Masternode Platform in the world. Please feel free to invite your favorite coin developer to this channel ;)
